1. Who operates this website

2. Website purpose

Suitable Solar is a UK lead-generation website. The website provides an indicative solar panel and battery storage estimate journey for residential homeowner enquiries. It is designed to collect enquiries that may be reviewed by Suitable Solar and, where suitable, shared with selected local or regional solar providers, installers or quote partners who may be able to quote for or supply your needs.

3. Estimates are not guaranteed quotes

Any estimated savings, system size, solar generation, battery guidance, export value or related result is for general guidance only. It is not a formal quotation, financial advice, guarantee of savings, guarantee of export income, guarantee of finance approval, or guarantee that installation will be possible.

Actual results depend on roof size, roof condition, shading, property type, energy usage, import tariff, export tariff, meter type, equipment, battery capacity, installation design, survey results and other site-specific factors.

4. Calculation assumptions

The calculator uses broad postcode-area solar generation assumptions, roof direction factors, estimated system sizing based on annual electricity spend, assumed self-consumption, and indicative import/export tariff assumptions. These assumptions are intended to help decide whether a proper installer review may be worthwhile, not to replace a technical survey.

Unused solar electricity may be exported to the grid under an export tariff such as the Smart Export Guarantee, but eligibility, rates and payment terms depend on the supplier, meter, tariff and applicable requirements.

5. Homeowner eligibility

The quote journey is intended for UK homeowners aged 18 or over. Non-homeowner enquiries may be declined or excluded from follow-up.

6. Your information

You agree that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have authority to make the enquiry for the property concerned. You should not submit another person's contact details without permission.

7. Contact and referral after submission

If you submit your contact details and consent, Suitable Solar may contact you about your solar or battery enquiry and may share your enquiry with selected local or regional solar providers, installers or quote partners who may be able to assess, quote for or supply your needs. A selected provider or partner may then contact you by phone, email or SMS about your enquiry.

Suitable Solar does not guarantee that any provider will offer a quote, finance option, installation date, specific saving, specific export rate or specific product.

8. Third-party providers

Any quote, survey, contract, installation, finance arrangement, warranty or aftercare offered by a third-party provider is between you and that provider. You should review the provider's own terms, privacy information, credentials, accreditation, product details and quote before making a decision.

9. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, including by:

• submitting false, abusive, automated or fraudulent information;
• submitting another person's personal data without permission;
• attempting to interfere with the website or server;
• attempting to access private systems, credentials or lead data;
• using the website for unlawful or harmful purposes.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or reliance on indicative estimate figures. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
